Here's my friend Floyd Sewell. Floyd has taught me so much in judging daylilies for which I am grateful. Floyd lives in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and here he is show grading flowers in the wild. This was a seedling in Louisiana that was over 6 feet tall. Floyd was even looking up at it. This is not the norm for daylilies, but there are hybridizers now who are trying to get taller and taller scapes on their flowers. I would say this one is possibly the tallest Floyd and I have seen. Just like Floyd, always judging. HA!
