This is Dan Trimmer's Big Yellow Taxi, and BIG it was. Bloomed today and measured a whopping 7.6 inches from edge to edge. If you look real close, this taxi has a passenger. A red wasp was checking out the digs as I was shooting the photo. I still love those big huge blossoms. They make you take a deep breath.
